cool lo-fo garage punk, with some intensely unpredictable vocals!
Link Wray live at the Paradiso LP
To me this is just ok. Its Link, so its cool. Some of it almost sounds like early British Punk stuff, and has a ton of covers. Its worth the 5 bucks i spent, but not too much more.
Haunted George- American Crow ( in the red records)
Just as creepy as usual, it sounds a little less lo-fi to me, but i still really dig it.
The Best of Wilson Picket
I guess this is self explanatory?
Tex Ritter- An American legend (4 lp box set)
Pretty much the definitive collection of this early country singer, he was also the host of the Town Hall Party t.v. show!
The Mummies- play their own records (estrus records)
Another awesome re-issue of the Mummies. Slammin out some swingin garage blasters and a couple of sleazy surfy instros on the B side.
The Arrows- Blues Theme 45
Erin found this for me, and i couldn't believe it! Davie Allen and the Arrows are one of my favorite surf/ instro bands. Plus they do the soundtracks to a lot of the awesome early biker flicks. Man this fuzzed out single is great!
