Movie Star Junkies- Melville..... cool, kinda Nick Cave meets a bloozy version of the cramps, and more twangy at the same time?!

CockSparrer- Best of.....Cool double Lp on TAANG Records....has all the early hits

Johnny Paycheck -Country Soul....not as good as his other Little Darlin labeled records, but decent enuff. i think its mostly , if not all covers on here.

Little Jimmy Dickens- The Collection.....all the hits and more. I think hes the oldest living member of the Grand Ole Opry. ......and hes from West Virginia. That means ill like him more just for that reason.

The Sadist (1963)

The Sadist

Director: James Landis

The Sadist has been in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Im mostly into horror but this one somehow creeped in. I dont know if its just that im a huge fan of Arch Hall JR.(both musically and as an actor).

Three people are on there way to a baseball game when they start to have car troubles. They soon come across a roadside junkyard. So they pull in to see about getting their car fixed....and thats where the real trouble begins.

Theyre soon greeted by Charlie and Judy, who take them hostage. The film is supposedly loosely based on the Charles Starkweather story. To me this movie always seems so cool. Its has a bit of a cheesy feeling, but its way better played out than most movies of its time. I think the acting really fits into what you would feel fits the personality of a psychopath. It really gives a good feeling of the late 50's.

Its way better than some of Arch Hall Jr's other flicks, like EEGAH!. I guess it could fit in with early horror, but passes better as a thriller.
