Well Erin and I went running around yesterday. Were huge fans of flea markets, garage sales, and junk shops. So when we find a new one were in trouble because there goes all of our money. We did good though. We hit up some thrift stores we dont normally go to, because theyre on the other side of town.
I found a hat that ive been looking for. Its real hard for me to find one that fits good, because i have a skinny head. I also found a new cd rack. I rarely buy cds so it will last me for a while before i fill it up. I got them both for real cheap. Then we found some 45's which were a bust. Crappy 80's country. They had good titles so i thought id give it a whirl.
After we left we were on our way to another store when we passed this real hole in the wall ghetto shop. I said "hey maybe we should go there, those places always have records". Guess what, they did! Not so many good ones though. Mostly 70's soul and blues. I did find a Bobby Darin record for a buck though.
Then I found some real treasures. I got an amp, which doesnt work. I thought id take a chance on it. It needs a new cord because the wire in it broke and the part that plugs into the wall is corroded but the rest is fine. I also need to put a new fuse in it because that was sorta corroded too. When i went up to get a price on it i spotted a leather biker jacket. I already have one but i could have used another, especially this one because it looks old as dirt. I got the amp for 15, the jacket for 5. So even though the amp doesn't work "yet" the cheap price on the jacket paid off. To buy a jacket like at a vintage shop is usually at least $50+.
Thats about it on the new stuff i found. I also got a new tattoo this weekend, and watched Blacula with Erin.
Well i guess thats about it. Had a good week findin stuff, hangin with the girlfriend, gettin tattoos, and watching crappy blacksploitation movies!
can i be your blog editor, mr. i found new "trasures"?
