I dont know what the title of this is all about, it just popped into my head. Im a huge fan of southern culture.....well, not so much the south as i am with Appalachian culture. Regardless, im still a big fan. As far as the Appalachian part West Virginia takes first place, and the southern part I guess its a tie between Georgia and Louisiana.
To me the old houses are a big part of the draw. Especially the ones with willow trees and spanish moss. The reason for all this nonsense came from a movie i was watching today that was set in the south. Its been a couple of years since i was in Florida or Georgia so i forgot about this kinda stuff.
I came across some houses on the good ol' internet that id love to have for myself. Most of them are rotten and decrepit , but then again its part of the charm.
To me gas masks have always been such a face of terror. Not that im afraid of them or anything, but they have such an evil presence. So ive came across some pictures that i find pretty cool, yet eerie. Anything from Nazis to children playing...you cant put a gas mask on something and have it look happy and jolly....it just turns out sort of demented.
A top secret underground urban waste dump is turning the local homeless people into mutant cannibals......
Ive debated every time i go to Best Buy whether i should pick this up or not. So today i went for it. Got home, popped that sucker in ,and....well....wasnt as cool as it seems. The idea of the movie rules and is right up my alley. I just dont think they pulled it off right.
There was some cool stuff...like these sweet lookin mutant things....some blood....guts....you know, all the good stuff! It wasnt too bad of a movie, just kinda hard to take Daniel Stern seriously.
I picked this up at My Minds Eye Records today. it was dirt cheap...20 smackaroos! I think its more than that on the Big Beat Records Website.
Its a set of five 7 in records: The Vibes, Meteors, Guana Batz, Stingrays, Bananamen, and the Milkshakes!
